Christmas Orders
Grass fed, native breed beef for your Christmas table, raised by us and hung for 28 days.
There’s something special about knowing exactly where your Christmas dinner has come from. Ours comes from our own herd of British Longhorns, raised here on the farm near Oundle, hung for 28 days for flavour and tenderness, and cut by our butcher right here on the farm.
This year we have rib on the bone, sirloin, fillet and topside for the big day, steaks for Christmas Eve, and everything else you might need for the cooking in the run up, from mince to casserole cuts.
We only have a limited amount each Christmas, and once it’s gone, it’s gone, so it’s worth getting your name down early.

How It Works
1.
Tell us what you would like
Fill in the form below with the cuts you’d like, and either a weight, a number of ribs or steaks, or simply how many people you’re feeding. Whatever’s easiest.
2.
We'll confirm your order
Within 48 hours we’ll be in touch with a recommendation, an estimated weight and a price.
3.
Pay your 25% deposit.
We’ll send you an invoice to pay online by card. Your order is confirmed once the deposit is paid.
4.
We cut and weigh your order.
Every joint is weighed after cutting, so the final price may be a little more or less than the estimate. We’ll send you an invoice for the balance once your order is ready.
5.
Collect or have it delivered.
Pick up from the farm, or we’ll bring it to you in our chilled van.

FAQs

How much beef do I need?
Just tell us how many people you’re feeding, and we’ll recommend the right size for you. If you’d like leftovers for Boxing Day sandwiches, let us know and we’ll size up.
Can I order other cuts as well as my Christmas joint?
Yes! You can add anything from our shop: mince, steaks, stewing beef, casserole cuts and more. Just list it on the form.
Why do orders close so early?
We raise and prepare every animal ourselves, so we need to know how much beef you’d like before our cattle go to the abattoir. That’s why orders close on 19 November.
How does payment work?
Once we’ve confirmed your order, we’ll send an invoice for a 25% deposit. Every joint is weighed after cutting, and we’ll invoice the balance in December. You only pay for exactly what you get.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes, up until 19 November, and your deposit will be refunded if you cancel. After that, your order will have been planned around the animal, so we can’t refund deposits except in exceptional circumstances.
Where do you deliver?
Free within 5 miles of Oundle and Thurning, and £5 within 10 miles. Further afield, we send orders by DPD in insulated packaging, arriving on Tuesday 22 December.
When can I collect?
From Longbrook Farm on the morning of Sunday 20 December or Wednesday 23rd December. We’ll send you a time slot nearer the day.
How should I store and cook it?
Pop it straight in the fridge and check the date on the label, or freeze it if you’d like to get ahead. We’ll send cooking guidance with every order.
Can I buy beef as a gift?
Yes! Our gift vouchers can be spent on anything in our shop.
