We've found a sauce we genuinely can't stop using, made by Yau's, a family business just down the road in Peterborough.

Bonnie and Philip Yau set the business up back in 2012, after customers at their Oriental food shop kept asking for something free from artificial nonsense. No MSG, no colourings, nothing you can't pronounce, just proper flavour done honestly.

We've been pairing it with chuck or braising steak, straight in the slow cooker together, and it's become a genuine weeknight staple here. Even the kids ate it without complaint, which is about as good a review as we can offer.

Right now, a free jar comes with any of the following: chuck, braising steak, stewing beef, flat iron, skirt, mince, shin, topside, silverside, or a beef box.
